- lithiumdoll: Removing Bugs in Premiere (and possibly other software too) - This technique is in no way guaranteed. It works best with solid color logos that are at about 50% opacity, but even then may not work for you. New source is probably going to have more issues, but this is really aimed at the older shows you can't buy on DVD anyway. -

- wistfuljane: Race Discourse: Bringing Anxiety Attacks Since The Beginning of Time - just as animanga is seen as an open safe space for females, it (the English-speaking corners) is also seen as an open safe space for Asian-Americans, other English-speaking Asians and to a lesser extent other People of Color (hello media written about Asians by Asians! hello culture and characters with which they can identify! hello media not about white people!). Or it's supposed to. It is made unsafe by the rampant of fetishism and exoticization of Asian culture and people by mostly white animanga fans. -
- nahco3: RPS, reading boundaries and social taboos - I'm completely fine reading about dudes cheating on their significant others (if it's well-written) or incest (anyone have good Peyton/Eli Manning fic?) but I feel uncomfortable reading about drug use, binge drinking, drunk driving, etc. and I don't know why. -

- boogieshoes: Names in Fusion Fics - There are probably a ton of things that come up that require some creativity to deal with, but I am going to focus on names, here, because 1) name issues inspired the responses that inspired this meta, and 2) character names are a linguistically-related issue that often gets screwed up. -
- noracharles: A clarification for the privileged - Someone who has a mental health issue and reacts in an unusual way emotionally may have emotions we can't sympathize with. But that doesn't mean we have to disbelieve their experiences, or disagree with their opinions. -

- logophilos: Can we ever stop fighting? - M/m grew out of slash but the authors of 'original slash' have been slow to understand that subversiveness is not enough - it's insufficient to simply put gay characters in situations traditionally mined by straight canon creators. -
- sparkindarkness: More on the M/M genre (because I'm not above flogging a dead horse :P) - Women - write m/m fiction by all means - but do not lie to us. Do not claim to be one of us. Do not claim to understand what it is to be a gay man. Do not claim gay male identity. -
- runpunkrun: file under: too young to know better - I really want a tag that signals to you, the reader, that I, the writer, am aware that this work is less than awesome technically or, shit, thematically, but still might be enjoyable to you because it pushes your buttons or it's unironically adorable or whatever and in that spirit I am making it available to read and also because I am not allowed to delete fanfic that embarrasses me because there is the risk that I will eventually delete everything I've ever written. -
