beanside: I had an awesome bit of meta about the nature of RPS - I think it boils down to the fact that you're either an insane stalker, or you know how to behave in society. What you write has little to no bearing on that. -
miriam_heddy: A Poll on Self-Rating of Fan Fiction: - If you use the MPAA ratings system (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17) for your written stories, or some variation of the MPAA ratings[...]can you please explain to me how you make sense of the following? (see the poll, below): -
fictualities: Hate your family? Become a fantasy hero. Or maybe not. - What makes for a page-turning story? What's the engine that makes a narrative speed along like The Little Engine that Could? I've got a suggestion, one that I think works for at least some stories: hatred. -
hector_rashbaum: The Fourth Fence, Blurry Boundaries, and...Something Else Alliterative - I say RPF is not inherently disrespectful. The fact that it is possible for me to cross lines doesn't mean I will; the boundaries are there and in some places they're kind of flimsy but I won't be using that as an excuse to constantly push them. -
