  • [personal profile] threewalls: [Meta] Vanilla is not normal. Vanilla is a kink. - Related to this, I would like to say that I like my kink explicit rather than masquerading as "normal", and my kink dynamics not to pretend that they are gender dynamics. -

  • [personal profile] vector: Essay on pairings and such - But I feel like a lot of the time people treat it like that's the choice - that het is going to be mostly following traditional societal standards for what a relationship is and slash is going to be mostly following fandom standards for what a relationship is. And, I mean, if you're choosing between those, obviously slash will win - you're at least starting with a relationship between "equals" there, or at least not actively demeaning your own gender. That's a really terrible choice, though, because there are a lot more things you can do with both het and slash. -
