pennswoods: I'm Here because of the Fandom - Whenever an HP fan concludes a piece of meta or fandom commentary with something along the lines of "After all, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for JKR," something tends not to sit quite right with me, even if I agree with the main points of the comment -- fairestcat: I'm not asking your permission, but it always makes me happier when I know you don't mind - I truly believe that a creator's control over how their work is received or responded to disappears the moment they set that creation free, whether that's in print, on film or in any other medium -

. . .the three things that groups do, online or face to face, even if these three things are not what their ostensible purpose is. Groups will totally start 1) flirting and talking about sex, 2) hating some enemy and 3) defending their object of worship.
