merryish: Can't stop the signal - While the discussions of the merits of fan fiction are ongoing in the pro writer community, I have a couple of responses to some of the recurring theories and arguments -
- morgandawn: Moving LJ Memories To Del.Icio.US En MasseI may have found a way to move LJ memories over to del.icio.us in two easy steps. This has been an issue for people wanting to leave LJ as well for people who want more control over their bookmarks.
- sockkpuppett: Vogue and Transformative Works -- Oh God, she's thinking again. Make her STFU God please-- - And I keep going back to "transformative," the defining word of the group, and then I started my mental meandering and I want to talk about "transformative" work and why it's so important (IMO) to remember that. -
- xanphibian: fic is what happens when ... - Fanfiction can be commentary, it can be feminist, it can be queer, it can be a highly creative endeavor, and it can be all of the above.//But to me, it is very hard to separate fanfiction from fandom. -
- elfwreck: Some arguments against fanfic - The Organization for Transformative Works was recently mentioned in several blogs[...]It's fascinating watching the anti-fanfic crowd; here in my niche in fandom, I tend to forget what a lot of people think about our beloved hobby. -
