- fabu: Female characters, again - Even if you dislike only one female character, if your justification for that dislike is that she's promiscuous or sexually immoral, I have a problem with that. Particularly when the character's behavior is completely unexceptional and ordinary. -
- ear_to_heaven: How We Think vs. Our Latent Superpowers - One of the things I look for in a fandom is that common thread or implied suggestion that, in fact, WE are the chosen ones, that we too could access this kind of power if we only knew how to make the right choices. -
- painless_j: Entitlement? In a sense - You'd think that a good title is pretty of course but as unnecessary as, say, a hat. You can put on one, with ribbons and feathers, to fit your dress or coat, but you can do well without just fine, thank you. But in fact title is more like your face. -
- verstehen: I can think of no more appropriate topic - With the upcoming release of both the Order of the Phoenix movie and HP book 7, I find myself thinking more and more about what gets people to stop reading or stop watching a source canon. -
