worldserpent: A fascinating meta post on GJ - I think this kind of insularity (there is no other fandom outside LJ, and if there is, it's marginal, and/or "feral") is fostered by the technology. This also extends to the extent to which LJ fandoms are dominated by the activity of fanfiction, -
