  • This is where that old term white privilege begins to rear its ugly head. It is the freedom to not notice when what you're doing has to do with race. Having it doesn't make you a bad person.

  • One underlying assumption seemed to be that.... that we've created this queer female space of internet fandom and the least offensive realm in existence already. Which doesn't take into consideration that our sandbox is neither uniform nor free-floating.

  • Folks are defending Wincest...by focusing on the argument that it's ..fantasy and thus doesn't have any real world implications. Over in SGA fandom...folks are ...saying what we write does have real world implications, and we should be aware of that.
