r_becca - thoughts on fic headers A while ago, I saw a comment by an editor of one of the major fandom newsletters that really opened my eyes. She said that when she’s looking for items for the newsletter, she often skims over fic that’s not properly marked. Marked with a header. And I thought, she’s right. I want my fic posts to stand out apart from my everyday ramblings about mustard and tunafish. I want potential readers to be intrigued and enticed by my summary, not to accidentally skim over something I worked hard to create. And not just in communities – in my own journal, too.
